The Amulet sconce is formed in the kiln by slumping a cream sheet of glass over a mold. Affixed to a patinated brass backplate, the sconce is adorned with an abstracted mosaic of flameworked glass. Light radiates through either end, illuminating the intricate colorful patterns of glass. This piece is inspired by the dressing table, combs, beadwork, and ancient jewelry.
